Hello: I want to adjust the FM tracking on this Saba Bresigau 11. The picture shows the FM tuner . The instructions include the adjusting of the two cores in the middle that have what looks like paint on them to maintain the position of the core. What is safe to use to free up the core so that I can make the adjustment? I don't want to apply too much force because I fear breaking the core. Thanks for any advice. John

Hello Peter: The reason for the adjustment is because I did an FM IF alignment and noticed the tracking was a bit off. UPDATE: I went ahead and used lacquer thinner to release the cores. It worked but I had to do it carefully and allow the lacquer time to be absorbed by the paint and soften it. After that the alignment went smoothly. I did not do the neutralizing adjustment because I am not sure what effect I am supposed to look for when making that adjustment. FM is now tracking correctly and sounds very good so , perhaps neutralization is not needed. Thank you very much for your advice. Best Regards, John Jarratt.
