Hi,

thats to bad - it looks like you have made a mistake during changing tha caps. You need to give some more details - otherwhise nobody is able to give hints.
First - please check if the radio is working in 'TA' Mode as expected.
If not - the check the Amplifier around EABC80 / EL84 for wrong connected caps.

And please explain - what means 'low' ? Means 'low' disorted sound or does that means 'quiet' ?

If the sound is low only in FM, not in AM or TA mode: Did you replace C35 (4µF, 70/80V)? If so, please check if you inserted the replacement cap with the correct polarity. The + pole of this one must be connected to ground (chassis).

If the volume is ok in TA mode: does the tuning indicator tube (EM84) deflect properly when tuning in a station?

I wrote C35, not C45. But this is no longer relevant.

The fault is definitely in the AF section. Maybe you made a mistake when changing the caps there. So I agree with Oliver: please check the replacement caps carefully for correct connection. If you don't have the schematic diagram, you find it here:
http://radio.mijnwijkapp.nl/Grundig_1099.pdf

You should also check the following voltages:
EABC80, Pin9 should be approx. 70V DC
EL84, Pins 7 and 9 should be approx. 250V DC
EL84, Pin3 should be approx. 7V DC

If you touch Pin8 of the EABC80 with a piece of wire (e.g. measuring lead), there should be a very loud humming noise. If so, the fault is in the volume/bass/treble control or AF switching section. If not, the fault is somwhere around the EABC80 or EL84.
