Portuguese made Blaupunkt knock-off tv

hi to all
i recently bought this tv for 60€ from a local seller
it appears to be Portuguese made, the brand is "Ponto azul" wich translates to Blau punkt
the model name is "Olimpia"

this tv had no raster and very low high voltage
the flyback high voltage winding was arcing
i could not find a schematic or a replacement flyback so i ordered a Motorola american tv flyback and replaced the high voltage donut windind and the ferrite core and made a "Hybrid" flyback
it actually works!!

i will put a link to a youtube video of the tv

any info on this brand of the equivalent blaupunkt model would be very appreciated
this tv feels very cheap when compared to a Philips, simple circuits, very few tubes, flimsy chassis, but i like the tv!!

Ich habe diesen Fernseher kürzlich für 60 € von einem lokalen Verkäufer gekauft

Dieser Fernseher hatte kein Raster und sehr niedrige Hochspannung
Die Flyback-Hochspannungswicklung war eine Lichtbogenbildung
Ich konnte keinen Schaltplan oder einen Ersatz-Flyback finden, also bestellte ich einen Motorola-TV-Flyback und ersetzte den Hochspannungs-Donut-Windind und den Ferritkern und machte einen "Hybrid" -Flipback
es funktioniert tatsächlich !!

Ich werde einen Link zu einem Youtube-Video des Fernsehers setzen

Alle Infos zu dieser Marke des entsprechenden Blaupunkt-Modells würden uns sehr freuen
Dieser Fernseher fühlt sich sehr billig an, verglichen mit einem Philips, einfachen Schaltungen, sehr wenigen Röhren, dünnem Chassis, aber ich mag den Fernseher !!

i would be also happy to find information about the company but all i got on radiomuseum was this:
"Ponto Azul (not to be confused with Punto Azul) was the Portuguese brand for German Ideal-Radio / Blaupunkt models."
if anyone knows the equivalent blaupunkt model it would be fantastic for me

The cabinet design looks a bit like these German Blaupunkt sets:

But they have a different tuner, with preset buttons.

With a photo of the chassis of your TV, maybe it's possible to find a schematic of a set with the same chassis.

i dont care too much about the tuner, the most important is the circuit board being similar to mine so i can have a guidance if a fault occurs

The chassis does not look like any Blaupunkt TV chassis I know. Seems that it was not made by Blaupunkt in Germany. Hence, Blaupunkt schematics probably won't corrspond with your TV.

thats bad news Lutz but thank you once again for the Help
i had compared the chassis layout with the models you suggested and yes its different

see that it does not even have a high voltage cage?thats interesting..
the date code on the electrolytics is 1968...seems too basic for a 1968 set...must be a really entry level TV
the uHF tuner does not have tubes but the VHF tuner has the typicall 2 tubes mixer oscillator and rf amplifier i guess


I think what i will do is Restuff the elkos correctly (as you can see in the photo there is a temporary repair in that section that i made)
and then i will close the tv and try not to use it very much to preserve it while its working
the capacitors in there are Erofol II, the epoxy coated models wich are usually very good
there are some mullard-type mustard capacitors wich are very good also
there are some orange ones that i never seen before, i tested a few of them and no leakage
i replaced what appears to be the boost filter with a MKPP philips capacitor brand new
i replaced the small elkos (maybe audio cathode bypass and agc voltage filter ???)

i will now restuff the big ones and call this TV repaired
what do you think about that?

i can post pictures of the work if people on the forum may be interested

Ich hatte das Chassis-Layout mit den von Ihnen vorgeschlagenen Modellen verglichen und ja, es ist anders

Sehen Sie, dass es nicht einmal einen Hochspannungskäfig hat? das ist interessant ..
Der Datumscode auf der Elektrolyse lautet 1968 ... scheint für ein 1968-Gerät zu einfach zu sein ... muss wirklich ein Einsteiger-TV sein
Der uHF-Tuner hat keine Röhren, aber der UKW-Tuner hat den typischen 2-Röhren-Mixer-Oszillator und einen HF-Verstärker


Ich denke, was ich tun werde, ist, die Elkos richtig aufzufüllen (wie Sie auf dem Foto sehen können, gibt es eine temporäre Reparatur in diesem Abschnitt, die ich gemacht habe)
und dann schließe ich den Fernseher und versuche, ihn nicht zu benutzen, um ihn während der Arbeit zu erhalten
Die Kondensatoren sind Erofol II, die Modelle mit Epoxidharzbeschichtung, die normalerweise sehr gut sind
Es gibt einige Senf-Kondensatoren, die auch sehr gut sind
Es gibt einige orangefarbene, die ich noch nie gesehen habe. Ich habe ein paar davon getestet und kein Durchsickern
Ich habe den scheinbaren Boost-Filter durch einen brandneuen MKPP-Philips-Kondensator ersetzt
Ich ersetzte die kleinen Elkos (vielleicht Audiokathoden-Bypass und Agc-Spannungsfilter ???)

Ich werde jetzt die Großen aufstocken und diesen Fernseher repariert nennen
was denkst du darüber?

Ich kann Bilder von der Arbeit posten, wenn die Leute im Forum interessiert sein könnten

I see 9 tubes on the chassis of your TV. Together with the two tubes in VHF tuner you mentioned, the CRT and possibliy the EHT rectifier tube, there are 12...13 tubes in total. Monochrome TV sets made by Blaupunkt in Germany in 1966-1969 had only 6...8 tubes. There is no German Blaupunkt TV with 12 or 13 tubes at all.

With a solid state VHF tuner, there were 10 or 11 tubes in total. This would correspond with some Blaupunkt TVs, but they were made in 1965 or earlier, not 1968. And the chassis of those sets looked quite different.

All this also indicates that the chassis was not made by Blaupunkt in Germany.

But regardless of where it was made, enjoy your TV!
