philetta BD254U front grill

hello,I have buyed a philetta BD254U radio and I am repairing it.the radio is playing very much but I have a problem.the front grill have a gold(0r copper) paint and the grill have some missing paint, now my questions;
can I paint the grill again and which paint, acrylic paint or another paint. please what is your recomments.
