I do not even know what to think. Disassembled the device to get to the glass of measuring head, it was necessary to strengthen it. The device was fully operational. When assembled back, when you press the power button, the arrow head immediately deviates to the right until it stops. On the remaining buttons and the rotary switch does not respond.
Can anyone give advice on what to watch or come across a similar one?

Did you checked the contacts on the device? If not do that and clean them with some contact cleaner.

I have the same multimeter, on mine the protection relay was broken...
